위제이, 태양광 PPA 솔루션 ‘zurigo’ 출시 박영훈 위제이 대표 “에너지 분석시스템과 PPA 통합 관제시스템 개발” 기업의 ESG 경영이 대두되고 있는 가운데 특히 환경 보전 측면에서 기업이 투자해야 하는 주요 키워드로 에너지 절감, 탄소중립, RE100 등이 급부상하고 있다. 이런 추세에 맞춰 기업들이 태양광 재생에너지 전력구매계약(PPA)을 체결하는 경우가 늘고 있으며, PPA 관련 비즈니스도 본격적으로 시작되고 있다. 태양광 전력구매계약(PPA) 솔루션을 제공하는 위제이(대표 박영훈)도 전력사용량 절감, 최적의 태양광 설비용량 산정 및 태양광 PPA 통합솔루션을 제공하는 스타트업이다. 박영훈 대표는 “위제이는 기업의 에너지 절감과 탄소 중립을 위해 기업 에너지 및 전력 데이터, 태양광 데이터를 활용해서 기업별 맞춤형 최적의 솔루션을 제공하는 것이 목표”라고 회사를 소개했다. 박 대표는 위제이 서비스를 크게 두가지로 분류했다. 첫 번째는 기업에게 맞춤형 전기요금 절감 및 온실가스 감축을 위한 전력, 태양광 및 PPA 분석솔루션을 제공하는 zurigo AI (줄이고 AI) 서비스다. 회사 측에 따르면 ‘zurigo AI’는 기업의 전력 테이터를 수집해서 태양광 데이터와 연계한다. 이를 통해 기업 맞춤형 최적의 태양광 설비용량 추천 및 그에 따른 절감 효과를 시각화 해준다. 특히 최근 기업이 태양광 PPA 사업을 많이 검토하는데 최적의 태양광 PPA 설비용량, 최적의 정산방식 및 절감 효과를 제공하고, PPA 비용 등 관련하여 통합 분석을 제공해주는 분석시스템 역할을 한다. ◆위제이, zurigo AI와 zurigo PPA 개발 위제이의 두 번째 서비스는 기업과 태양광 PPA 공급자가 PPA 사업을 하기 위해서 필수적으로 같이 관제해야 되는 데이터를 통합 관리해주는 태양광 PPA 통합 관제시스템인 ‘zurigo PPA(줄이고 PPA)’다. 이 시스템은 기업의 전력사용량과 전기요금, 기업의 자가소비형 태양광 발전량과 절감액, 태양광 PPA 발전소 매칭에 따른 PPA 공급발전소의 실시간 발전량, 절감액, 잉여발전량 및 전력사용량에 따른 온실가스 배출량이나 태양광 발전량에 따른 온실가스 감축량을 기업과 태양광PPA 공급자가 실시간으로 같이 관제할 수 있도록 도와준다. 현재 개발이 완료됐으며 3월에 런칭할 예정이다. 박영훈 대표는 위제이 서비스가 기존 태양광 관련 사업과 다르다는 점을 강조했다. 지금까지 보통 태양광 관련 비즈니스는 태양광 발전사업이라는 명목하에 태양광 투자 사업에만 집중이 돼 있었다고 설명했다. 기업의 탄소 중립이나 절감을 위한 시장을 겨냥하기보다는 단순히 태양광을 한정된 공간에 가장 많이 설치하는 사업 위주로 진행돼 왔다는 것이다. 박 대표는 기존 설치 위주의 비즈니스에서 벗어나 에너지 절감이나 탄소중립을 위한 실질적인 솔루션이 필요하다는 것을 감지했다. 기업의 전력 데이터 및 태양광 발전량 패턴 등을 종합적으로 분석해서 기업별 맞춤형 솔루션을 제공하자고 설립한 것이 위제이다. 위제이가 짧은 업력에도 불구하고 기술력을 인증받은 것은 박영훈 대표의 이력 덕분이다. 박 대표는 태양광 산업 분야에만 15년을 근무했고, 국내 대표 태양광 업체의 영업총괄이사로 20개 이상의 대기업/글로벌 기업에게 RE100 및 탄소중립 컨설팅도 진행한 바 있다. ◆태양광 PPA를 손쉽게 추진하는 서비스 제공 실제 대외적으로 인정받았다. 중소벤처기업부가 지원하고 한양대학교가 주관하는 2023년 창업중심대학(초기)으로도 선정됐고, 최근 최우수 졸업기업으로도 뽑혔다. 또한 강원랜드, 롯데글로벌로직스, 롯데쇼핑, 현대백화점 등 탄소중립이 주요한 이슈인 기업 대상으로 컨설팅도 진행하고 하드웨어도 공급했다. 상반기에는 관제 소프트웨어까지 제공해서 추가적인 PPA 사업을 진행할 예정이다. 박영훈 대표는 “태양광 PPA 시장 자체가 아직은 거의 초기 시장”이라면서 “아직 특별한 기술이나 서비스가 부각되는 것은 없는 시장”이라고 설명했다. 그는 이어 “기업이 탄소중립을 하기 위해서 태양광 PPA를 아주 손쉽게 검토하고 추진할 수 있는 서비스를 제공하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다”고 말했다.
